Tutorial for Uninstalling the Game to Install a New Update

Hello again!

In case any of you don't know how to uninstall the mod, this tutorial should help you with uninstalling this. This mostly applies to Linux and ChromeOS since most Baldi players already know how to uninstall Baldi mods on Windows and Mac, but since Linux is difficult to understand, I made this post so you can understand the terminal much easier.

Before we get started, make sure you have the latest version of your operating system installed and have Linux Apps/Crostini installed if you have a Chromebook. This allows you to work with commands, chmod permissions, and more. Since Crostini is available for home Chromebooks only, Linux devices don't need Crostini. Also, you are NOT allowed to install Linux Apps/Crostini on school Chromebooks, because your school administrators take good care of them. I am not responsible for any mods infecting your computer with Trojans and all that stuff.

When the first version of the mod (version 1.0) was out, there was not a Linux version, so this only applies to unstable version 1.1. So, let's get started!

  1. Open the Linux terminal.
  2. Type this following command below. Replace "MYFOLDER" with the actual folder name it says it's called.
    1. rm -r MYFOLDER
    2. For example, I had DEMO installed, so I'm typing in 'rm -r DEMO'
  3. Next, open kmenuedit.
    1. kmenuedit
  4. Remove the "Baldi's Basics Classic Remastered Deluxe Demo" shortcut by selecting it and press "Delete".

And that's it! Oh, and as of the day I made this post (which is July 19, 2025), the next update to this mod comes out in 2 days, so stay tuned!
